This Japanese Magnolia starts off a deep purple then goes to shades of lavender..When full open they look pink, then the petals grace the grown with pink petals..Sara

Pale Pink Petals Rest

Japanese Magnolia's buds deep pink
Opening in less than a week
Lavender to bright purple
Petals fall annually
Grace spring grass with last
Of their beauty
Pale pink 'pon
The Earth 
Rest
