Pale Echo

Once upon a time
a tree was crowned with pink blossoms
red robes and chimes.

One by one they ceased to exist.
branches bared -cold as bone
melodies lay fleeced.

Stream gathering souls
song burnished with pale echo
pool of silenced dreams.
