Painted In Chains

Paint a picture of me
so dark
Everyone can see
Paint a picture in my mind
Show what you said was me
Of what I knew in my heart
could never be
Free
Free from the shackles you chained to me

Paint a picture of me
So dark
Still no one knows the picture of my heart
I've been clawing at the shackles in my head
No one knows of the marks
No one can see the scars
No, they don't know what it cost of me
to live and know that I'll never be
Free
