Painted

My love is painted reds and blues Her skin it glows with colored hues Each steps she takes she leaves a mark Critics bow and call it art And when she talks I nearly trip As paint comes falling from her lips Her eyes are brighter than the sun I kiss her colors one by one Love only gets you so far When the one you love is like a star Her touch leaves colors on my skin Some don’t want the good to win They try to cage exotic birds Who do not follow with the herds If they don’t want our love to be I’ll paint the cage open, Set us free.
