Paint With Fire

Perhaps love is a crimson fire
And burns the soul ever deep
In glorious waves of its desire
Never chastened by its sleep
To be in love and brave the flame
With earthly want and quiet need
In softer sighs the hearts proclaim
The gentle hands when love is freed
How long the pause as time conveys
Forever caught by waves that last
In memories flame, a kiss replays
Remains a picture in the past
Ever fading from flames that stay

- Frederic, a very well written poem! - I stopped at this line: "To be in love and brave the flame" ..... yes, brave! - Wish you luck in the contest - I would think that it's going high up on the winning list .... just wait and see .... :))) - oxox // Anne-Lise :)
