Paint the Walls

My darling, why don't we paint these walls
The white is lifeless and painfully drawl
Like a rose or a cherry, a nice vibrant red
But fair warning, it may contain lead
What if I were to simply crack open my head
So within this room I would surround you instead
Throughout the winter and spring, the summer and fall
Oh darling why don't we paint these walls
With my thoughts and ideas, imagination and fears
Where we can reminisce our dreams as I soak into the veneer
I could drip down the sides into the boards of the floor
So you could lay upon me when your feet become sore
We could place a hook for you to hang your shawl
Once we have finsh painting these walls
On these 4 canvases my personality will be stained
Where our hopes and desires can forever remain
Where curiosity will live as apathy dies
If only you could see this vision through my eyes
Forever we'll dance, ill make you the belle of the ball
But first, my darling, we must paint these walls
With rose tinted glasses i am content in bliss
As you embrace my body and and place 1 last kiss
Upon my temple, cold as ice
Leaving a hole like in the hands of Christ
In my chair I slump and to the floor I fall
But darling, at least now I have painted these walls
