Pain Is Inevitable
I just want to write to you; everything I wish I could say.
All the things I think about; every single day.
Your presence is enchanting; it’s everything I need.
You remind me of everything I wish I could be.
We have felt the same pain; our hearts have been burnt.
We have so much from the past and each other to learn.
I can be myself around you; nothing from my soul to hide.
You’re the only person I would ever let inside.
Pain is inevitable; but with you that doesn’t matter.
All I feel is you holding me together.
I’d fall apart if it weren’t for you.
Before you tripped into my life; I had no idea what to do.
So thank you for everything that you have ever done for me.
Without you, I could never be.
