Pain

She sat by the window pane
Dealing with her pain
Which she tried to ward off
But her efforts were in vain
She watched the rain fall through window
And wished that her troubles could be
Washed away, wished away
Or, at the very least kept at bay
The rain eventually stopped
And the sun shone brightly
Her spirits were uplifted
For she knew that the sun
Would shine on her life again
And pain would cease reign over her
