Pain

Pain

Pain is real
it takes your breath

Brings more feelings
you think of death

Would it be better
to rot in the dirt

Or live with the pain
on the hem of your skirt.

The life that you live
is excruciating at best

But it's okay now
it's time to rest

Waking again
to a real feeling

Coping, hoping
sleeping, dealing

Pain is real
pain is your friend

That's how you know
know that this isn't the end.
