Pages Turning

I'm not afraid
I've been alone always
as you people move about me in your own circles
now as you physically leave
I have my house
alone to myself
quiet
or filled with music chanting
or friends for dinner
dogs dreaming
or just the sound of pages turning
at 3 AM
