Pace Yourself
See the goal, the gold,
The prize shimmering in the distance
Just waiting for you to hold?
Do you take the chance?
Are you excited & ready for the race
Or is your heart just heavy with dread?
Have you decided on the pace
Or are you just wishing for your bed?
Whoa! Hold your horses!
Go back to the start
Can you discern the forces
That make you depart?
What reason drives you?
Have you really a true vision,
Prayed, seen it through
With absolutely no division?
Set the right course!
Resolve it & make the plan.
Pace yourself; get on your horse.
Be at peace; a joyful woman or man,
And once determined, no matter the pay,
Focus your vision!
Do the paces day by day.
Fulfill YOUR MISSION!
