Own it

I forget to do things every now and then.
Claim I will be there over and over again.

But I'll wake up, but sleep past the alarm chime.
So I wake up later, and say "Maybe next time."

So I meet the same people, with new plans agreed upon by us all.
But It's basically a sequel, their plane lands without me in Nepal.

I keep saying I'll do this or I'll do that,
Knowing for a fact that I won't even act.

I feel better whenever I say "I can do it later."
But the time never comes for me to be greater.

Life's too short to not do things for yourself.
Yet too open for you to be unable to help.

So don't try to look for an excuse to be late.
Instead look at it as a chance for an escape.

Escape from comfort by exploring the unknown.
Maybe from your life at work, school, or at home.

Explore what you never thought you could.
Live life how you never thought you would.

Is doing what you always do really worth your time?
Do you want to have regrets 30 years down the line?

If you want my advice, just live in the moment.
If you make a sacrifice, make sure you own it.
