Own
To be direct I project here I shan’t be shady
For people all around the world
You don’t own that baby.
Knowing me, knowing you and life thus has compiled
My truth made clear for all to hear
You don’t own that child.
If no-one ever told you- this I will uncover
Your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife
You don’t own your lover.
Straightforwardly direct in hope you comprehend
You can own yourself all of times though
You don’t own your friend.
You can pay for others time and have some working bees
Though only does a wise boss know-
you don’t own employees.
This life has taught me many things
Some have been tough lessons,
Though we don't own each other
For people aren't possessions.
