Overlooking a Brook With a Spectacular Look

My house up on the hill overlooking the brook
With a spectacular look
He will appreciate what awaits
On the other side of the gate
My little angel thinks our house is the first-rate
That it was our fate that brought us to this special place
To begin our life free of sin as we can hardly contain are grin
To stop and take it all in

Between the view and what I have shared with you
It's clear to see why this makes us so happy to see
The way our love has grown up to be
The most beautiful place for me
Is a home full of love, and respect
That affects all the beautiful things going off inside of me

To ask God for any more would undermine this awesome score
When in the beginning we were so poor
The only way I will ever leave
Is when God takes my last breath from me
We have weaved our story in all of God’s glory
Because of the choices, we made long ago

This is why we both know our love will grow strong enough to last
The woods are what makes all of this so special wild and free
Miles of memories that we made along the way
We will never let them fade away
As we pray to God and thank Him for such a heavenly place

Where you can see the angels play on any given day
I just hope that God picked out a spectacular view
From upon a hill overlooking a brook with that spectacular look
That we have come to know
All things are possible when you have the right flow
We come to know God who will save our soul

I like this line in particular: My little angel thinks our house is the first-rate That it was our fate that brought us to this special place because when we climbed a fence to look at some property, both my husband and I turned at the same time and said, "we have found our place."

That is so cool to hear that kind of stuff as a poet to know that what I write really does talk to people and in the way in which the poem was intended. Thank you for sharing that with me as a poet you know it's one of the few things we receive for sharing with others take care.
