Over These Tears
I used to be different
until you came into my life
you converted me
you taught me to be free
than you injected a virus
I am so over these tears
that spring out like daises
I'm becoming void of feeling
You say i'm too pretty not to smile
but you stab me with daggers
The second I start to fall
I'm so over this war
that's why I put up walls
So no sane man would even bother
these walls are much too high
they might come out bruised and battered
The odds for them looked bad
their hearts might come out mattered
I don't want them to even try
I'm safe behind these walls
No more tears will fall down these cheeks
I will not resent anything by never falling
But if i'm so over these tears
why do they continue to fall?
I put up all these walls I should be safe
What I didn't realize at the time was that
Lonliness was the worse pain of all
By keeping out love I was inflicting myself
Thus the tears fall
soaking my pillow
