Over Dose

Over Dose

how can i quench the flame
that burns within my soul
wild ignition of a passion
that a man cannot control

wreckage of a blind desire
battlefield of haunted thought
unheard cries of what's and why's
try to salvage what you've got

forging from the jagged scars
a key shaped like a heart
as i prepare to look for where
i have left the missing part

somewhere there's a shadow
searching in this silent mist
so dearly we've departed
but forever we exist
