Over, Done.

Disconnected senses here
And raise the stakes to pay
Allot has gone down, as before
Allot that’s still to say
Everywhere I see your kind
Invest in moments lost
Maybe I won’t ever see
The need for the real cost

Old familiar tunes are played
Inside my lonesome head
Mercies that I thought were sure
Perhaps the worst is said
Morbid thoughts to come
For all that I have done
Morning blues are prone
To those alone with some

Everywhere for sure
Intentions everyone
More curious to some
Indiscretions, here they come
So what am I to say?
I ask everyone
Perhaps I’ll even feel
Unbelievably, some day

Disconnected, here we are
We that’s everyone
Written down in scar’s
The worst is over, done.

The spirit wanting to disengage from the physical body....yes. I have felt that way many times. Time heals, 'tis true. Aloha, Connie

Smile ~ "Yes," I do believe in the need for certain dis-connections also! Like perhaps, the ever evolving and shifting spectrum called love; for love has many different layers and flavours yet, pure undefiled love, should always be held tight unto, no-matter what colour it may become....Where as, the other question to myself vital would seem; who or whom should be the severed; especially, when love presents itself often, shadowy to say the very least...."Much Love & Warmth, Always," John!:) ~

Interesting write, David! Yes, I think a time of disconnection is also a hand that life gives us in the healing process.

Like P.D said, the ending really hits the nail on the head. I think you have to live this to write it this way! Luv, Andrea
