Outside the Light

Shadows cannot exist outside the light;

so dark projects the illusion of norm.

Ebony acquiesces to the night;

shadows cannot exist outside the light.

And yet, they're always there, just out of sight.
 
Only the light can give shadows their form;

shadows cannot exist outside the light,

so dark projects the illusion of norm.
