Outrage Over Dog's Destruction

By Elton Camp

Dog lovers are in an uproar
Won’t tolerate it anymore

A precious dog has been killed
Their loving hearts are chilled

Its life was very important, they say
It shouldn’t have been done that way

Though the chance had been detected
With Ebola virus it might be infected

They say, with a hypocritical smile
“Just quarantine the dog for a while.”

“If it sickens please wait and see.
If not, set the noble creature free.”

Never mind the enormous cost
Or that human lives could be lost

Others, they want that chance to take
But not them, for goodness sake!

Folks that crazy in the head
Should let it sleep on their bed

They won’t, out a rightful fear
Yet, whining we still will hear
