Outlaw

Red lights close behind me, a road block up ahead. Slow down or accelerate, either way I'll soon be dead. The gun is in my pocket but no chamber has a round And if I let them catch me they'll put me in the ground. And oh, I gotta run. A bullet's in my shoulder, my life drips on the floor. The guard was quite the hero but he isn't anymore. The bankroll's on the front seat but the teller saw my face And I won't see another day if I can't win this race. And oh, I gotta run. And my life of running's just begun. The needle's long been buried, it's hard to keep control. I can't afford to hesitate or I'll never reach my goal. The red light's growing closer and I can't leave them behind And I know what they'll do to me if I don't reach the line. And oh, I gotta run. And my time of running's just begun. Oh, I gotta run. An outlaw never quits 'til he is done. I'm running out of highway. Too late to turn around. The blood is rushing in my ears, I hear no other sound. The red lights' almost next to me, I'm running out of time. I finally hit the road block and I leave them all behind. And oh, I gotta run. And my time of running's just begun. Oh, I gotta run. An outlaw never quits 'til he is done.
