Out the Door You Go
I bet you'd thought I'd cry
Said you didn't love me anymore
When you walked out that door
I opened my eyes
For the first time in my life
Happy I wasn't a wife
I kept up my smile
As years went past
A love that wasn't going to last
Patiently waiting
To do you know wrong
We never even had a favorite song
My mind became free to learn
What I was denied
All those years I tried
I'll change the locks
It's the least I can do
I see no love from you
My heart opened
I picked up stride
Embraced life...arms opened wide
