Out of Water

Your all I ever wanted,
you just weren't one to give.
You had control,
dug me my own little hole.
All the weight on my shoulder,
you never wanting to leave her.
Memories starting to blur,
an ongoing deception.
My mind and heart begging for freedom,
never stepping foot out the masters kingdom.
An absolute dark cloud follows my every move,
sure enough I have alot to prove.

Never really tried to leave my ruins,
but as I fall deep into the steep basins,
and breath my last breath.
I foresee a shibboleth.
What was the hardest thing in the world,
I jumped through and undid the burled.
Life's not ready for me,
and plenty would agree.
I'm one person ready for the hurt,
cause nothing and nobody can make me feel like dirt.

An emotive write with a powerful ending, Royal; "nobody can make me feel like dirt". It's about Karma and their misery will come back to strike them down. Life if ready for you, you're a diamond in that 'steep basin' that will shine its way back to the surface. Congratulations on having this featured, it will talk to many people.

There's always (well, often) something better, right around the corner. I like the way you used the word, burled (had to look up, shibboleth). Question: Stanza 2, line 3: Did you mean breathe my last breath -- or, as it stands, breath my last breath? Sincerely, Tom :-)
