Out of Sight Out of Mind

You charm me for days with words you text
Then I'm completely ignored, left feeling perplexed
Maybe you're afraid that we're moving with haste
But totally ignoring me leaves me with a bitter taste

If you need your space then kindly inform me so
I have a life and other places I can go
Consideration and communication are high on my list
Please don't make me feel like for days I don't exist

When I'm with you it's a completely different story
I'm like a rare flower basking in your glory
Attentive and captivating you make me feel unique
Maybe part of the allure is your baffling mystique

We all seem to want what we can not possess
But a relationship without time will not be a success
So when I'm out of sight..... keep me in your mind
Or you may find yourself single, for I will leave you behind!

That's sure telling him...no way should a person hang their hat on someone who only thinks about them when the person is at their side. That simple all that attracts him is what his eyes sees in front of him. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Great write, Cecilia. One love. Joy Wells

Great work..I especially like and agree with the last stanza second line..In all relationships one has to devote time to the other person or the relationship dies..Thanks for stopping by..Sara

I hearing you, Cecilia!...Been there, done that!...Love hurts sometimes, doesn't it? (but who can live without it?)...First line of last verse is my favorite (and so very true!) - Tim

Good write. And i was going to inform you that there is a song that you may like that has this saying in it. You probably have heard it, and based the title on it. But if you don't, then it is called Legohouse by Ed Sheeran. He's great.
