Out of Reach

Today is a nice day. This is just a recent expression of difficult times. Love is out of reach Lost in this distant place Now just trying to teach, Lessons to myself, I face Time has changed my life I cannot see the scene Through so much murky strife The path, I cannot glean Storms tease in the sky Circling all around Thunderbolts are nearby Light shines, then isn't found I'm tired of questions now Elusive answers day by day Wanting to turn the clock somehow Changing time to find my way Let there be a lightening strike With certanty of insight Because I would really like, Some understanding to shine bright Reach me, lift me, erase this doubt Enlighten me with something new I don't know what this is about As many days, seem to be so few Heidi Sands 6/29/19

Another Sands winner. Love is always within our reach but entanglements bind us. It might be right in our face? But we keep looking backwards.-)) You are a fine poet, Heidi. I like you because it's you in each poem. Panagiota

'Elusive answers day by day' -- an especially acute, piercing expression of your frustration, which resonates for so many of us. :) gw

"Elusive answers day by day Wanting to turn the clock somehow Changing time to find my way" - this is how we all feel some times but few of us have the words to describe it. Okay, maybe we have them, but do we know how to USE them like this? I do not. Great job!
