Out In the Cold

You came into my desperate life,

I made you my own, made you my wife.

Now you leave me out in the cold,

What, did our love get too old?

Didn't I hold you in my arms when you needed me?

Didn't I love you without restraints blindly?

It wasn't enought to sacrifice myself for you,

Now you show this side of you I never knew.

But life goes on and so will I,

Sure there are times when I get a tear or two in my eye,

But in the end I can do nothing but continue to fly.

Yet, I get the feeling that these tears will never dry.

Wonderful creative writing today Hector. I will be back soon to read more if the gremlins in PoetrySoup will permit. Love, Carol
