Our Wedding Day

It was June 1st, 2002
that's the day I married you

We were united by a J.O.P.
but that didn't really matter to me

No written vows, just a few words to say
it was still our wedding day

With our Til Death Do Us Aparts
that's when we gave our hearts

He then announce us by husband and wife
it was the start of our new life

A certifiicate of marriage, two rings on hand
in front of family and friends, there we stand

We didn't have no white doves or any rice
no centerpiece made of ice

Lots of pictures were taken in the hall
lots of hugs and kisses from what I can recall

We had a little gathering, a party afterwards
they wanted me to speak but I had no words

We cut the cake and I fed her the first slice
Everyone grabbed a cold beer that was on ice

A simple wedding it turned out to be that day
with just two little words we had to say
