Our To Do List
each moment reborn, in mind body worn
we look at aspects needing to be shorn
fickleness of unsteady attention
spiralling thoughts, veiling joy elation
feral instincts, given to lust and rage
why to wisps of disdain, we take umbrage
mood swings ranging from ennui to envy
shadows looming over serenity
regrets of past and fears of the morrow
dead to the now, living life in sorrow
measured response, looking at all askance
furtive eyes, twisted tongue, our shrivelled stance
myriad attachments to fleeting forms
where lies, oh hermit, bliss magnetism warm
