Our Storm

Sometimes our lives go adrift a raging sea
Never finding that resting place we seek
Then in the middle somewhere somehow we find
An island so bliss that no one can see
It comes to us at our storm's peak
When we think we are the most blind
You came to me like an island unforeseen
So pleasurable to the eyes and skin
Like the sand in the hour glass
We find our sandy beaches agleam
Unlike any other place we have been
We are safe and secure at last
Weathering our storm as one
Reaching no more for what cannot be seen
Enjoying our days together
Watching the sea and it's angry tone
Wondering where you have been
Because I have been searching forever
