Our Shame
An Eagles tear fell from a
failing sky, fell to the dust
of his last domain. We saw
all but nothing now, plumes
of gold have borne the pain.
The pain of man's careless
eyes, who wrongly thought
he owned the skies. Owned
the skies, owned the earth,
far too blind to see their
worth
