Our Seventieth Birthday
My twin and I celebrated our birthday together.
Fah Lah Lah Lah Lah. whoppee dee dee!
We have not done this for around thirty years or so
And it was marvelous, believe me!
We have to figure out how to act our age now.
Or maybe not? I am not sure whether I can anyhow.
Today was marvelous – a giant wow!
A terrific day to turn seventy, our birthday!
We cackled like witches, and played like girls.
Laughed about nothing at all, and yet everything.
I am so glad she came to see me, it was terrific.
Being this age now has a kick and a zing.
