Our Secret

i have a secret
i keep inside
i tried to tell someone 
I tried
i worried they would 
pick a side
they didn’t listen 
so i lied
keeping quiet
to not upset the tide
while in my heart 
feelings still collide
i now seek places 
where i can hide
and hope one day 
my anger will subside
