Our Roots'

Things that matter in this world?
What are things that matter as world events unfurl?
Answers to these questions can be found in our roots,
We come basically from Nomadic tribes, a world on foot.

Do you believe in the Holy Book? The Garden of eden, or life?
When God made the world, in seven days, and Eden was without strife.
Must have been serene, knowledge of sin, not thought of or born,
So God decided to make Adam, in His likeness, a life pure an strong.

God also realized Adam shouldn't be alone, an put Him into a deep sleep that night.
Taking a piece of Adam, He conceived Eve, it was love at first sight,
From the start God gave them this Paradise and love, an no ills, all gone.
Just don't eat of the tree, this must not be done.

Of course, we all know the rest of the story.
Adam listened to Eve, his eyes were opened, sin entered, Adam said "He was sorry."
God knew, "Adam why do you hide from me? You ate of the tree'"
Adam along with Eve were afraid, they had disobeyed God, and they could see'

Now over three thousand years later, the story is still the same.
We sometimes forget Satan still lives, although sometimes he changes his name.
He was cast to this earth, because of his hatred for our Lord, too.
Sent His son as a healer, a preacher, fulfilling the Scripture, to help me and you.

That we give our loyalty, Glory, love to the Almighty,
That Satan is losing this battle, He's running out of trickery.
Our puny world needs healing, and the Lord is there for all of us,
Just have Faith our sins are forgiven, that comes by trusting in Jesus. '

The temptation is always out there, Robert, ever since Adam bit the apple. I like the way you describe the paradise that existed before man's first sin. Our world does need "healing" and faith will show us the way. Satan will never win in the end. You conveyed your message very well in verse. Love, Carolyn
