Our Primary Life Goal

Loving one another continually lights up the soul Ignites a fire within us until its embers glow, Creating inner peace, making us feel whole Loving one another continually lights up the soul. In fact, that should be our life's number one goal, Letting our sincere feelings of love flow. Loving one another continually lights up the soul Ignites a fire within us until its embers glow. Loving one another continually lights up the soul In fact, that should be our life's number one goal Creating inner peace, making us feel whole, Letting our sincere feelings of love flow Ignites a fire within us until its embers glow, No greater peace of mind can anyone know.

Milt, congratulations to you for your win. I often think if we spent our time loving one another, giving a little grace, we would not have time for judgements. How wise our God to challenge us to this kind of life where love is the standard. Sending you all the blessings of the season.

Lovely triolet my friend. I especially liked this part "Loving one another continually lights up the soul Ignites a fire within us until its embers glow."

Yes, those repeated lines are my favorites, of course. Thanks.

Nice one there, Milt. Out of curiousity, do you write the last 6 lines of a trionet first?

Nope, but I generally know what the added line will say. I start out with the couplet, then insert the second line...but not always. And, I always try to make sure I'm using words that will rhyme with other words I want to use. Hope this helps.

Milton, what a wonderful peaceful world we would live in, if your message was engraved on the hearts of humankind. Good Luck in the contest. :)Paulette

I certainly think so, Paulette, and it is incumbent upon us poets to constantly get this message out there. Maybe we can change hearts one heart at a time.
