Our New Year

No room in the inn, nor in the pub
we celebrate new year, in the social club.
Vacant smiles and toothless grins
drunken louts, with good within.

Polished crooner, cherished dog,
Surprisingly fresh sparkling bog.
Caring family gave a chance
for kind man senior to have a dance.

My girls, a beer, a game of cards,
New year fun was not too hard.
The year in front is full of change,
Although the details will rearrange.

I hope the year ahead of me,
Is something that I can achieve.
With luck next new years eve be best,
And we raise a glass to our success.
