Our New Dog

You love your purebred. I'll love my
Whatachamacallit.
I wonder how he came to be at our back door?
I must admit
He is exquisite
For something I've never seen before.
You love your purebred. I'll love my
Whatachamacallit.
Darling he's a misfit that will fit
Right in with our children playing under
The sycamore.
I must admit
He's becoming my favorite.
God sent me something I can't ignore.
You love your purebred. I'll love my
Whatachamacallit.
Look love he has personality and wit
He brought my sleepers to me that were
Over there on the floor.
I must admit
Honey, this is going to be definite
He will live here forevermore.
You love your purebred. I'll love my
Whatchamacallit.
Now our family's complete I must admit.

G'day Bette … when kids, most everyone had 'bitzas' (bits of this and bits of that). These days they're not around, but they are much hardier than the purebreds and have a better temperament. I reckon you're the lucky one Bette - Lindsay

It seems to me that they are a lot more calmer than the purebreds are. I am glad to hear we are not the only ones who go for the Whatachamacallits.

I like this poem Bette, often animals gets confused when they are lost and are lucky enough to find themselves in a garden with people who will love them, your watchamacallit was God sent and will find love with your family for evermore! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Thank you. You are right. The animals who found us. Are the best family dogs. This is just my opinion. I believe they were sent by God to us. They are so loving and wanting to please that they capture our hearts right away. It was nice to have meet you. I hope I hear from you again. Happy Thanksgiving.

Nice tribute to "man's best friend". Never had a dog - only a cat named Bilbo and some lizards. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
