Our Nations Debt

I look over the fields
At Arlington where they lay
Their pearly white crosses
Stand proudly each day

Wheather gleaming in sunlight
Or covered with snow
Each one stands for freedom
Each one in a row

We should hang a medal of honor
On these crosses that stand
These warriors gave everything
They've protected our land

We owe them a debt
We can never repay
Please join me and honor them
Each and every Veteran's Day

Thank you for the kind word Arlene. I don't write much, work you know. It does relax me and lets me travel to places far removed. Thanks again.

Well said, Timothy. We owe a lot to those who make sacrifices or die for their country. May they be remembered with pride. // paul
