Our Mum
OUR MUM
This verse was written just for mum
It is to celebrate her life,
She was a very special mother
A loving Grandma and a wife.
You gave birth to four of us
Three girls, and then a boy,
And to have you as a mother
Brought us all a sense of joy.
You loved us unconditionally
You were strict, but always fair,
We’d test your patience to the end
But always, you’d be there.
We all grew up and married
And started our new lives,
One of us a husband
And three of us as wives.
We blessed you with some grandkids
That made your life complete,
You were the world’s best grandma
So loving, kind and sweet.
And as you started to grow older
Your health began to fail,
We looked for ways to fix you
But alas, to no avail.
But you gave us all your blessings
And filled our hearts with love,
Until the angels called for you
And took you up above.
Be at peace mum, we love you.
