Our Motion

this motion brings her closer
though i thought i wanted closure

in a moment of weakness, like so many others
i give in to the heat; in which all pain is smothered
in a moment of weakness, i fail to observe

i've been drawn to defend that which i'd love to forsake

but when our bodies collide, i can't see my mistake

in the motion, i feel accepted
by the heaven i'd myself rejected

looking back on it all, the end was a sly one
tricking us into faith, and here desperation
in a moment of weakness, it all made sense

our pain brought us straight to the holiest source
