Our Love Has Faded
Our love has faded
like the sunset of Summer,
the spark has left my heart
there will be no other.
Like the sunset of Summer
the spark has left my heart,
I thought we'd always be together
and to never one day part.
I thought we'd always be together
but time had taken you away,
there will never be another
your heart had been lead astray.
Our love has faded
like a flower dying in the Fall,
the petals fall one by one
my trust in you has hit a wall.
Like a dying flower in the Fall
the petals fall one by one,
I want to go back
to where our love had first begun.

It's been quite a while since I have penned a piece of poetry. I figured I'd write something. I had a couple of lines in my head and wanted to get them typed out, before I forgot what the lines were. I know a few lines seem to be repetitive, but I found them to be fitting. I wrote them the exact same way I wanted this poem to turn out. This write is not true.
