Our Little Enemy
The walls of this beautiful world are breaking by the day
Raining shards of glass down like the suns rays
Society is at a standstill, time ticking away
An invisible enemy is fiercely at play.
A virus so small but big in every way
Is eating society like a lion does to prey.
The remains left over is what society will have to reap
With those less fortunate will struggle to earn their keep.
The world will heal with bandages and wounds to show
But will not be the same world we used to know
The fog of uncertainty reaches far and wide
But we must have optimism and positivity on our side
Love and empathy must win over doom and gloom
As we see in spring with new flowers in bloom
The world is coming out of a long frightful dream
To a new sunrise, a light of beam
A virus so small can make us big in every way
How big will depend on our thoughts of the day
Love, respect and empathy must win and stand tall
Over an invisible enemy, a virus, so small
