Our Last Night

Even Angels cry, on our last night, To behold an awful sight. Watching as we lose our wings, We can no longer sing. Our brilliant green eyes begin to fade, As we lose our life slowly each day. Even Angels, like me, cry on our last night, Watching as the stars shine bright. I lay upon a broken mound, My heart slowly begins to pound. I prayed to God, in the heavens above, To accept me back home, Is a sin no one can hold. I watch as he closes his hands, Picks me up and puts me down again. A fallen angel I've become, To walk forever on this Earth. Never to return, to my home above, Even Angels, like me, cry on our last night
