Our Inner Energy

our Inner energy, we all have one, yet we dont know it exists,
Our inner energy, we all see it, yet we dont know have the tools,
we are human beings, yet we dont take the time to see inside our hearts,
we dont know how to really truly let go of our adult selves.

Our Inner energy, is always with us, day and night,
ITs an valuable part of our busy hectic lives,
OUr Inner Energy is deep inside our souls hidden away,
so that we dont have to face our deepest secrets, our feelings,
but isnt that what is instiled in us at birth?
Our mother embraces us after birth, places us on her chest,
We hear her beating heart, soon after our loud scream seem to cease.

That is our Inner Energy speaking, screaming, at us to be held,
to be held in love, compassion, skin to skin,
THere is NO OTHER love, felt by anyone else,
its what makes us human beings, but what happened?

OUr Inner energy is always with us, close your eyes, wrap your arms
across your chest, and squeeze, now how does that feel?
Dont ignore the feelings, because i promise you they are real..

Our Inner Energy, that warm tingly feeling you are feeling in your body?
Its is what happens when you experience Hakomi therapy,
We retreat back to our moment of birth, being placed on our Mother's
chest, that close intimate feeling of touch, dont be afraid to let go..

You are loved, cared for, you are compassionate, you are you, just as you are
Whereeve you go, there you are".

Hello, Jennifer, I like the inner energy in me sometimes... I like this poem. I don't think much of the energy inside me. However, after reading this poem, it makes perfect sense. Hahaha, gosh it explains a lot :) LINDA
