Our Future History

Our future generations, will one day read.
Of our time right now, our generosity and greed.
What part of their history, do we wish to play?
I ponder these thoughts, each and every day.

Our history books will tell our future children our tale.
Did we help our neighbors, or just cut out and bail.
As each moment now unfolds, our legacy is being made.
Keep your head up, don't forfeit your values for trade.

What we do right now, will plant our future seed.
Failure is not an option, we must choose to succeed.
Think about this message, brought before you today.
Are we on the right path, or should we change our way?
