Our Final Moment
Cautiously the tips of his fingers brush the swell of my lips.
Involuntarily I tighten my legs.
Inches.
Inches.
My breath quickens.
My words try to lie.
But my body betrays me.
He is undeniable.
Motionless we stayed.
Lover of love in the arms of her beloved.
All night.
Absolute.
Inch by drowning inch.
His face became all eyes.
His eyes became all hands.
He tore me bare.
Gently he held me near and whispered.
"Remember this position. Remember it well."
