Our Family Misses You

Our family misses you

It was a long time coming
And it took you in the end
We were all so devastated
Our life was never the same
This is our first Christmas without you
Our family misses you so
We wish that we could see you
And remind you how much you're loved
But, we know that you're in Heaven
Watching us with Angels so pure
We can feel their protection and guidance
We can feel their love and mercy
Thank you for enlisting their help
We know you all mean well
But as you can clearly see
We're not handling things at all
For it's been a challenging time
This grief and sorrow journey
As much as we want the destination
We know it's a process we learn from
We understand that time is meant to heal
But frankly, that's no real comfort
This pain is hooked in deep
We feel it's here forever
But, maybe over time
It will stop gushing tears and grief
Our hearts might start to mend
And we'll slowly find our feet
Until that far off day
We hope you'll understand
We don't blame you for this drama
We just miss you madly
We hope that we'll be together
One day as a family again
Where Heaven removes all pain
And we can feel free to live
