Our Earth
Our Earth
An earth that’s mine and also yours
An earth we both do share
The path of it our destiny
To favour war or prayer
Some people choose their own war
Against an enemy unseen
A fight with drugs or alcohol
A war that’s oft obscene
Impossible to surrender
Trenches ever deeper no way out
Never quite reaching the front line
Not knowing how it came about
Stuck there in a war zone
Your fate your own violation
Unaware and now dependent
Destined for damnation
While wars are started all over
Whole countries vying for power
Man’s duty is to fight them
Never knowing when his last hour
Whole communities left in destruction
Governments ignoring their plight
Interested only their own agenda
To man never will be contrite
Why to our earth this massacre
Man hurting its own race
Each the same no difference
All sharing the same space
