Author`s Notes: This is a special Couplet I wrote today on a particular theme that I had been thinking about over the last several weeks. Enjoy the poem and its uplifting message. (Gary Bateman - July 14, 2018)

Our Dreams From Times Before

Our Dreams from Times Before
 
Dreams that come to us from times before,
Oft tease our minds inciting images galore.

Speaking to us psyche-deep, in our deep-sleep,
They nudge us gently to take that ethereal leap!

Dreams may surely incite past emotions very sad,
Causing us wicked thoughts that are mad and bad!

These dreams may also bring us even to Heaven’s gate,
Ensuring we see what glorious images there so await!

Angels may come to us in our dreams from times before,
Telling us of God’s love as our souls seeketh His door.

Our souls shall find an eternity-true beyond God’s door;
What a wonder awaits us in our dreams from times before!

Trhe...I believe I've experienced angelic visitors in both wake and sleep. Many people do drawings and paintings of them but, nothing quite describes their beauty.
