Our Current Demise
Maybe it’s madness to keep the belief
There’s any good will still within humanity
As we stand by and watch for ourselves
The world as we know it dip deep into hell
Children still suffer in this day and age
As if no real progress has ever been made
Disease makes it’s way from door to door
Impacting the masses like never before
Enforcers of law still kill based on race
As if all human lives aren’t each worth the same
Those with the most are still getting rich
While we work as slaves until we are sick
Why are we so twisted?
We are so demanding of perfection, while at the same time,
Most of us are in denial about our own dark and
Never ending flaws.
As time continues to march on, we continue to
Prove that we are nothing more than a poison.
How long can we maintain this sinful serenade
We’ve so carefully constructed?
I pray we can change for the best.
I pray my daughter sees a better and brighter
Humanity than the one I’ve been shown.
I pray she is better than me...
