Our Bundle of Joy

I sat back for awhile and heard all the whispers and all the tales,

How there's a shortage of good men and no more decent males,

How men are all dogs and we're only out for one thing,

But I don't believe in that because a true romance without love is an absolute sin.


I cannot sit up here and lie to everyone because I haven't always been clean,

If a couple of folks were still here today they could have all testified to what I mean,

Oh Curt, he was a player, oh Curt, he was a menace, oh Curt, he was a clown, because thats 
how I used to get down,

But my last name gave me many privileges so I used it to get around!


Those days are behind me now and it was time to move on,

Because I got a family now that I need to support and to shelter with comfort within my arms,

No more hanging out in the streets and doing what I knew wasn't right,

I'm a mature man now with a beautiful wife!


And guess what folks I even got more news, 

Can you guess my surprise or do you all need some more clues,

What gets you up in the middle of the night and cries for the diapers to be change?

I know you all can get this now if you use your thoughts and most importantly use your 
brains.


Thats correct, you guess right I'm also a father now,

I can hear all the applauses and see some bewildered looks on some faces saying wow,

But good things tend to happen once a woman finds the right man,

Also, no disrespect to women because without you all how can we strong men stand!

And to all the men who are taking my words as only a joke,
Trust me, do not take these words to lightly by taking it in one ear and then blowing it out 
like smoke,
I've been to the bottomless pits but I forced myself to make it to the top of the hill,
And on days when I feel that I cannot climb no more my wife gives me that extra will!
I could never just settle no more because of my family I must put myself to the test,
At whatever job I set out to do I must always strive to be the best,
And at being the best doesn't always mean I got to always got to win,
However, whatever task is on the table some kind of contribution I must bring!
So no more of me being spoiled and just worrying about myself,
Because without my family around me I'll truly have no real wealth,
And the secret is already out of the bag because my wife knows we're not having a boy,
So regardless to that matter I'm still happy because within her stomach lies our bundle of Joy.
