Our Brother

He came into our family
Became one of us right away
He was always smiling
But didn't have to much to say

When Michael spoke we listened
He was honest to the core
You could tell he had a hard life
We could see he wanted more

The things that made him happy
Weren't all that hard to see
His family being the main ones
And he loved his smoking tree

Our family day out was special
Howth hill he gave his best shot
He huffed but kept on smiling
You could see it meant a lot

We all seen so much in Michael
His strenght his drive his fight
And on that day he left the lodge
We all prayed he'd be alright

He took the power from his addiction
And that was clear to see
And if he had to pass away
I'm glad he passed while free

He'll always be our brother
We could see that from the start
You'll never be forgotten Mick
Your always in our heart
